Signs are there to protect you and your dog as well as livestock, sensitive areas, hazardous areas and wildlife such as vulnerable animals and landscapes. It is important to respect the requests made by landowners and land managers, even if they are a pain in the bum.

Signs might be about lambing, steep drops, staying on a path, keeping dogs on a lead, deep or fast water. Cave Rescue are called out to assist in at least one dog rescue incident a year.
